Full-Time Shipping/Receiving Specialist
Job Description
A medical supply and equipment company is seeking an individual who will be responsible for order fulfillment, shipping, and handling of materials and products. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Package products being shipped and protect them from damage in shipping
- Gather products according to pick list and invoices with hand-held scanner and load all packages on truck using a tow motor
- Schedule with outgoing freight company and provide shipping tracing data
- Open packages to verify contents against packing slip and purchase order
- Receive raw materials, outsourced products, and handle customer-returned products
- Distribute package contents and notify supervisor of any shipping issues
- Work with internal and external engineering to perform troubleshooting, data collection, and resolve problems
- Assist in training employees
- Follow all guidelines, regulations, practices, and policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have at least 1 year shipping/receiving experience
- Must have previously operated a tow motor; Tow motor license is preferred
- Must be familiar with shipping vendors and requirements
- Must have the ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to read and comprehend instructions, standards, and procedures
- Must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all measures, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$17/hr
