Full-Time General Assembler

Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking an individual who will perform assembly work utilizing lean principles to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Learn and carry out detailed work instructions
- Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools, and bench top pneumatic presses
- Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
- Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
- Promote and support a safe working environment
- Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
- Work effectively with others in a team environment
- Adhere to Shop Practices including proper gowning and use of personal protective equipment
- Support and promote LEAN operations by following standard work
- Meet quality assurance requirements and complete documentation associated with same
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Previous assembly experience with small parts preferred
- Must be able to carry out detailed written or oral instructions, deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation, maintain quality expectations, identify, communicate, and troubleshoot problems
- Must have the ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English
- Must be computer literate with accurate data entry and basic math skills
- Must have the ability to adhere to shop practices and support and promote LEAN operations
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$18/hr temp; $19 to $20/hr perm
