Full-Time Chip Spinner
Job Description
A manufacturing company is offering an immediate position for a Chip Spinner who will have a variety of daily responsibilities including operating equipment, providing chip removal from production machines, and following detailed instructions. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Collect chips from production machine and place in wheel barrel
- Dump full wheel barrel of chips (steel, stainless, brass or aluminum) into centrifuge container and spin chips to remove oil
- Dump chips into their respective conveyor; Steel chips into steel conveyor, stainless chips into stainless conveyor, etc.
- Clean all shop floors using the Advance Walk floor scrubber and empty waste receptacles in the plant area
- Remove garbage from the exterior of the building including parking lots
- Complete the daily chip spinner task sheet on a daily basis
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must have the ability to distinguish between various material types (steel, stainless, brass or aluminum)
- Must be cooperative and a team player who is self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Must have excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic
- Must have steel toed boots and with the ability to work in a safety-oriented manner
- Must be able to repetitively bend, lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. This position has the possibility of becoming permanent for the right person.
$15/hr
