Full-Time Quality Inspector – 3 Needed
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform receiving and first piece and in-process inspections for work in process. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- Mechanical inspection of metal part
- Perform first piece and in-process inspections
- Verify and document that materials are manufactured to customer-supplied blueprints
- Measure and document part dimensions and maintain acceptable quality levels during production
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications and follow written and oral instructions
- Accurately use micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gages, gage pins, protractors, hardness testers and optical comparators
- Measure and document part dimensions and maintain company quality systems
- Use Microsoft Office, shop mathematics, and trigonometry
- Follow all company safety and operations policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must have a High school diploma or GED
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with an ISO9001 quality system preferred
- Accurately use micrometers, digital and dial calipers, height gages, gage pins, protractors, hardness testers, and optical comparators
- Must have a working knowledge of shop mathematics and trigonometry
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications and follow written and oral instructions
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must be motivated to learn and develop within the company
- Must be able to abide by all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. This company offers benefits upon permanent hire.
$22 to $24/hr, based on experience
