Full-Time CNC Apprentice
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a CNC Apprentice to fill a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Duties:
- Use basic shop math and use a calculator for arithmetic functions
- Learn about machining metal using conventional and CNC equipment
- Use basic measuring tools, rulers, calipers and micrometers to check parts to drawing
- Learn how to read part blueprints
- Understand and strict adherence to safety principles
- Excellent attendance, impeccable housekeeping, and the ability to work in a physical environment
Qualifications:
- Must be mechanically inclined with the desire to learn about machining metal using conventional and CNC equipment
- Must have the ability to learn to use basic measuring tools, rulers, calipers and micrometers to check parts to drawing
- Must be able to learn how to read part blueprints
- Must be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods of time throughout the day, and lift up to 60 pounds
- Must be able to perform math functions
- Understanding strict adherence to safety principles, impeccable housekeeping, and ability to work in a physical environment is needed
- Must have a solid work history with a desire for a career opportunity in CNC Machining
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$16.50/hr
