Full-Time Powder Coater/Assembler
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater/Assembler to join their team. You will be responsible for the powder coating and assembly of fuel tanks, ensuring products meet blueprint specifications and quality standards. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain a manually driven conveyor systems for power coating fuel tanks
- Prepare surfaces and apply power coating in accordance with company standards
- Inspect parts for quality before and after the power coating process
- Monitor and maintain chemical levels and equipment for optimal performance
- Assemble fuel tanks according to blueprints and bills of materials
- Use hand tools and other equipment to complete assemblies
- Ensure all parts are correctly fitted and aligned, checking against technical specifications
- Perform thorough inspections on products and report any defects
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory of materials and supplies
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have experience in a manufacturing/production environment with exposure to heat, dust, and chemicals
- Prior experience in powder coating and/or assembly is preferred
- Must have basic knowledge of reading blueprints and interpreting bills of materials
- Must be familiar using hand tools and assembly equipment
- Must have the ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while paying a high attention to detail
- Must be comfortable standing, walking, performing repetitive motions for prolonged periods, and wearing PPE as required
