Full-Time CNC Drill Operator – 2 Needed
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking CNC Drill Operators who will be responsible for handling, loading, and machining heavy production and/or fixturing materials to customer or in-house requirements and perform regular preventative maintenance and occasional repair on facility machinery. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Machine heavy production and/or fixturing materials to print requirements
- Move heavy materials and tooling using forklifts, overhead cranes, lifting chains/slings, etc. handling, loading, and machining heavy production and/or fixturing materials to customer or in-house requirements
- Select and properly use a wide variety of tooling including drills, reamers, taps, boring heads, spindle supports to manufacture to print tolerances.
- Select or modify cutting parameters to suit various applications including different materials, interrupted cuts, tooling or work piece situations prone to vibration or chatter
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair, assist in troubleshooting and repairing machinery, and edit programs on CNC controls as necessary
- Complete daily maintenance and repair and maintain action logs
- Communicate with operators from other shifts
- Maintain and secure work tools and clean work area
- Provide on-the-job training to new employees when necessary
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a working knowledge of CNC Machine Codes
- Must have experience using one or more of the following manual or CNC tools: lathe, milling machine, drill press, and vertical/horizontal cut off saw
- Must have previously worked with G&M Codes and performed program editing
- Must know how to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Manual dexterity ir required for operating machinery and computers
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills required
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds
- Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$19 to $20/hr, based on experience
