Full-Time Customer Service/Receptionist

Job Description
A health insurance agency is seeking a Customer Service/Receptionist to join their team. You will assist clients with all their health insurance needs for the under 65 years of age and in the Medicare market. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; however, during the months of October through December you may work 50+ hours a week including possible Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, greet clients, and provide aid to prospective and current clientele
- Coordinate client packets for agent appointments and submit and track insurance applications
- Correspond with insurance carriers regarding cancellation letters, change request, and update issues
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail deliveries
- Add and maintain client information and upload monthly renewals from carriers into CRM System
- Order supplies and perform light office cleaning
- Microsoft Office expertise, especially Word, Excel and Outlook
- Assist with yearly open enrollment and various projects
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Prior health insurance experience is a plus, especially in Medicare
- Must have excellent customer service skills
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with accurate data entry skills
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work overtime during their busy season
Only candidates that can pass a background check will be considered. This company offers benefits upon permanent hire.
$19/hr temp; $20 to $23/hr, based on experience
