Full-Time Extruder Operator – First/Second Shifts
Job Description
A manufacturing company is seeking Extruder Operators who will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machines to produce high-quality products. There are openings on both first and second shifts
Job Duties:
- Set-up and operate extruders, dies, screens, and breaker plates
- Read, interpret, and analyze production orders, specifications, and blueprints
- Adjust equipment as necessary to maintain quality and maximize efficiency
- Distinguish between a mechanical problems and operation errors and also perform troubleshooting and take corrective measures
- Meet or exceed daily production requirements and scrap goals
- Maintain flexibility in job assignment including the need to work overtime and keep accurate production reporting paperwork
- Assist with the new product development projects
- Perform work in a safe manner and keep work area clean and safe
- Follow all company safety policies
- Perform other duties as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have basic math skills and able to use calipers, gages, comparators, and other measurement tools
- Must be able to ensure all products made are done at the highest quality, lowest cost, are delivered on time with world-class service
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and analyze production orders, specifications, and blueprints
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented with excellent troubleshooting skills
- Must have the ability to learn new processes quickly
- Must be capable of lifting 40 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and frequently walk, kneel, and stand
- Must be able to follow all company safety policies and keep work area clean and safe
Only those candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$17/hr starting pay
