Full-Time Food Service Worker
Job Description
An educational facility is seeking a Food Service Associate who will be responsible for a variety of duties; food preparation, opening and closing the kitchen, and operating the dishwasher You will work first shift from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; however, some evenings and weekends may be required. In addition, you will be cross trained in the kitchen/dining room area.
Duties:
- Measure and assemble ingredients for the menu items
- Perform opening and closing of the kitchen
- Ensure the food prep areas are cleaned and sanitized
- Read and follow standard recipes
- Operate the dishwasher and assist with washing dishes, pots, and pans
- Pack to-go meals for classrooms and meetings, and serving lunch on hot lines
Qualifications:
- Must demonstrate and practice knowledge of proper food handling
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and dining room environment
- Must always practice proper food sanitation techniques in both the kitchen and dining room
- Must be able to communicate appropriately with co-workers, faculty, and staff, and well as students, parents, and vendors
- Must have the ability to work as a team player in a busy work setting
- Must be able to work successfully under pressure to meet deadlines and goal
- Must have the ability to follow all health and safety protocols
- Must have own reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license
Only candidates that can pass a background, FBI/BCI, fingerprint check, TB test, and drug screen will be considered.
$16/hr
