Full-Time Inventory Specialist

Job Description
We are seeking an Inventory Specialist who will be responsible for initiating and maintaining standard work and other departmental procedures to achieve inventory integrity while also improving the company’s overall quality, cost, and delivery objectives. In addition, you will also procure assigned product lines and commodities while managing the supplier base and products purchased from outside sources. Work hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain over 2,500 active part numbers and associated shop orders with variance reporting and analysis
- Maintain, evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in material requirements to drive down inventory levels
- Manage daily cyclical program and perform root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies
- Manage and maintain inventory location integrity, assigned administrative work centers, unplanned inventory transfers, and sub-inventory interface using Oracle
- Responsible for creating, measuring, disseminating, and presenting statistical data and variance reporting and analysis
- Participate in the reduction and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory
- Purchase product support inventory or non-inventory requirements as defined by forecasting and ensure supply to meet business needs
- Develop and maintain standard work documentation and other procedures to ensure compliance
- Resolve all inventory discrepancies to optimize inventory system errors and assist with identifying and resolving the disparity in manufacturing reporting variances
- Consistently initiate and contribute to improvements in our inventory and reporting systems and policies and troubleshoots any issues
- Make inventory system adjustments to reflect the physical status of materials
- Assist with training for all inventory systems
- Perform other duties as necessary
Qualifications:
- Must have an Associate degree in business administration, and minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in Warehousing, Material Planning, and accounting procedures, or High School Diploma/GED and Apex certification with a minimum six years of relevant experience, required
- Some experience training teams on inventory processes is preferred
- Must have cycle counting and knowledge of how to do investigations
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and MRP System; Oracle experience is preferred
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to create Pivot Tables, Formulas, Searches V Look Up is required
- Must have the ability to manage and maintain inventory
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
$20 to $22/hr, based on experience
