Full-Time Maintenance Technician – First/Second Shifts

Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of major and minor repair work, trouble shooting, and suggesting continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities.  There are openings on both first and second shifts.

Job Duties:

  • Perform welding, cutting, brazing, grinding, drilling, tapping, minor mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs to building as required and identifies major repairs needed
  • Follow ISO9001/IATF16949 procedures relative to maintenance, documents any minor maintenance performed, and have knowledge of all plant and environmental safety concepts
  • Perform minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on headers, conveyors, roll thread machine, part washers, air compressors, vibratory feed systems, and other machinery as required 
  • Possess tow motor driver’s license before operating tow motor
  • Follow instructions on variety of preventative maintenance, machine related issues, and properly use and maintain gages
  • Maintain machine tools and equipment in a safe, operating condition for production team members and is always mindful of potential safety hazards
  • Read and interpret mechanical blueprints
  • Grounds and building maintenance including lawn cutting, trimming, racking, shoveling, removal of weeds etc. 
  • Re-stock, clean, and maintain common areas of the facility, including restrooms, and keep work area in a clean and orderly fashion
  • Meet engineering standards for quality, productivity, and tool usage, be familiar with IS09001/IATF16949 procedures, understand and comply with bin procedures, and costs relative to scrap
  • Train on minor electrical troubleshooting; fuse changes, continuity checks, and set up and remove machine related tooling and fixtures used to complete repairs on machinery
  • Understand the company’s Environmental Policy and Aspects, Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, Quality Management System
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a High school Diploma or GED
  • Must have 1 to 2 years maintenance experience
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude
  • Must be familiar with IS09001/IATF16949 procedures, understand and comply with bin procedures, and costs relative to scrap 
  • Must be able to make minor mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs to building
  • Must have the ability to perform minor mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on machines
  • Must be able to operate a tow motor and have a Tow Motor License
  • Must have the ability to follow all instructions
  • Must be able to identify potential problems by reviewing progressions
  • Must be able to maintain machine tools, equipment, and work area in a clean, safe, operating condition
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Must have the ability to fully adhere to all Governmental and company policies and procedures
  • Must have a strong work ethic and a positive team environment
