Full-Time Utility Worker
Job Description
We are seeking an individual to join our team as a Utility Worker in our manufacturing plant. You will ensure the smooth operation of production by performing a variety of tasks, including operating a media blaster, grinding, and material handling. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain media blasting equipment to clean, prepare, or finish parts and surfaces as required
- Ensure proper settings and media are used to meet quality standards
- Inspect work pieces for accuracy and quality after blasting
- Use grinding tools and equipment to smooth, shape, or finish parts according to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Safely transport raw materials, parts, and finished products within the facility using forklifts, hand trucks, or other equipment
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles as needed
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment, ensuring materials are properly stored and labeled
- Assist with additional production tasks as needed to meet operational goals
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to improve processes and meet deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in manufacturing, media blasting, grinding, or material handling is preferred
- Must have the ability to operate forklifts or willingness to obtain certification
- Must be able to pay a strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions
- Must have the physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds
- Must have a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
- Must be comfortable with the exposure to noise, dust, and other manufacturing environments, as well as, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods
- Must have a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while being dependable and detail-oriented
