Full-Time Warehouse Manager
Job Description
A local non-profit organization is seeking a Warehouse Manager who is responsible for the timely transfer of products from the warehouse to designated areas, ensuring timely and accurate receiving, logging, organizing, and storing of purchased and donated products, and the physical maintenance and safety of the warehouse, dock, and related equipment. Work hours are from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday with evening and weekend hours as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and effectively coordinate receiving, unloading, counting, organizing, and storing purchased and donated products
- Ensure the timely and accurate transfer and organization of products to designated program areas for distribution in collaboration with program staff
- Coordinates freight/shipping services in collaboration with warehouse personnel
- Monitor inventory stock levels through an organized system and communicate with program staff about available product and acquisition needs to meet program demand
- Oversee cyclic inventory counting to include a minimum of a year-end count in preparation for an annual audit
- Coordinate interactions and communication with warehouse personnel regarding space, responsibilities, and needs
- Maintain accurate records and provide timely reporting about all inventory activity using designated software and systems
- Provide superior customer service when accepting products from donors
- Maintains high standards of warehouse sanitation, cleanliness, and safety at all times
- May assist in staffing volunteers to receive, sort, store, stock, and pack product for distributions
- Assist program staff in coordinating logistics for packing, delivery, and/or pickup of product as part of distributions and donations
- Oversee Warehouse Associate, paid temporary staff, and interns to assist in warehouse and inventory management
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred
- Three to 5 years’ experience in Warehouse Operations or Inventory Management is preferred
- Tow motor and/or reach truck certification required as well as ability to use manual and electric pallet jack
- Must be physically able to lift, move, load, and unload pallets, shelves, and vehicles containing items weighing 50+ pounds
- Must have a strong knowledge of inventory management systems
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word, as well as general comfort with technology required
- Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and professional
- Must be flexible and able to multi-task easily to accommodate changing priorities with a quick turnaround
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team, including strong collaboration with the program staff
- Must have a valid driver’s license, comfort driving a cargo van/box truck, and meet insurance requirements
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of the organization is needed

$19 to $25/hr, based on experience
